Colorado Safety Policy

Looking for safety information in Canada?

The policy below is specifically labelled for Colorado. It remains here as a reference to the original provider's published policy; its state-specific notifications and services should not be assumed to apply to Canadian residents.

Use resources for your location

For a first meeting, suspicious message or money request, use our Canadian dating safety guide. For sexual or gender-based violence support, consult Canada's provincial and territorial support directory. In immediate danger, call 9-1-1 or the available local emergency service.

Check the current platform procedure

Report account concerns through official support. A platform report is different from getting emergency assistance. The live Colorado policy is the source for current provider wording; this Canadian introduction does not expand its geographic scope.

PositiveSingles is dedicated to fostering a safe and respectful space for all users. We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, sexual violence, stalking, or any behavior that threatens the safety of individuals, both online and offline.

Engaging in sexual activity without the other person's consent is not only a violation of PositiveSingles's policies but is also illegal. Such actions can lead to severe legal consequences, including civil and criminal liability. If a criminal investigation is initiated, we will fully cooperate with law enforcement authorities.

For more details on PositiveSingles's rules, please review our Community Guidelines and End User Service Agreement.
  • How can I report content or behavior that violates PositiveSingles's guidelines?
If you encounter behavior that seems suspicious or inappropriate, use the "Report" button on a profile or contact us. This could include requests for money, harassment, or fraudulent profiles, and so on. You can block and report members who exhibit suspicious, offensive, or harassing behavior, and so on.
  • PositiveSingles verifies users' identities but no Criminal Background Screening
We offer a selfie verification feature and users may have the option to select a third-party service to conduct a verification using information provided by the Member. Those who successfully pass the verification may receive a "Verified" badge on their profile.

While we do not conduct any criminal background checks, background checks, or any other screening of its Members or any other users of its Services. While we aim to foster a respectful and secure user experience, we do not represent, guarantee, or warrant the behavior, accuracy of information, or suitability of any Member or other user, whether on or off our Service.

It's important to note that no verification or background check process can guarantee safety. Always exercise caution when meeting people online or in person. For additional safety tips, refer to our Safety Tips.
  • What actions are taken when a user is reported for violating the rules?
We treat all reports of misconduct seriously and review them promptly. If we find that a user has violated our Terms or Community Guidelines, we take appropriate action. Depending on the severity of the violation, this can range from a warning to a hold. For more details about RESTRICTIONS or CODE OF CONDUCT, please refer to our End User Service Agreement.

Users have the right to appeal actions taken against their accounts. The appeal process is available on our Feedback.

  • Are users notified when a report about another user's misconduct is received?
In compliance with Colorado law, we will notify users in the message box if they have communicated with a member whose account has been placed on hold for reasons such as fraudulent behavior. Fraudulent behavior includes actions that indicate an attempt to scam others, such as using a false identity or engaging in deceptive practices for personal gain.
