Make sexual health a conversation, not just a calendar date

Decide what you need to ask

Tell a healthcare professional about symptoms, relevant history and any specific concern. Ask which infections will be tested and when results will be available. A request for a complete panel does not mean every infection is included; herpes testing has its own considerations.

Find an option in your part of Canada

Use our Canadian care directory guide to find a service, then confirm appointments, cost or coverage and language needs directly. Do not assume a US home-testing promotion ships to Canada, is suitable for you or is covered by your health plan.

Plan the follow-up, too

Agree on a private way to receive results. Ask what to do if you do not hear back and who can explain an unclear result. If you and a partner are discussing testing, avoid treating a result as a substitute for consent or an ongoing sexual health conversation.
